On Monday, October 17, 2016 – Geospatial Niagara made a presentation to the Town of Pelham Council to introduce them to Geospatial Niagara and the treeOcode Pelham / Niagara Project.
Councilors were very receptive of what we are trying to accomplish with treeOcode in promoting the benefits of the urban forest canopy.
From an article in the St. Catharines Standard….
“The project promotes economic benefits of trees by detailing the dollar value from energy conservation, storm water filtering, carbon dioxide removal and oxygen generation…
It promotes the benefits of trees as well as tree-related careers for students.” Read more here
The presentation can also be seen in the video below starting at approximately the 34 minute mark.
We extend our thanks to the Town of Pelham for their interest and consideration.
