To maintain mature trees along Town of Grimsby roads and rights-of-way, in order to enjoy the beauty and benefits that they provide for the community. Removal will only take place when approved by an arborist.

Current Planting Plans in the Town of Grimsby

New trees are planted annually with emphasis placed on new subdivisions along town roads, with a goal of one tree per lot.  Also at the request of homeowners if there is an adequate planting spot.

Emerald Ash Borer update

The Town is aware of the threat and is taking precautions to remove trees affected by EAB when they show decline, and/or have <20% canopy coverage.
